Goofy's call: Ride the Walt Disney World Railroad Friday while the novelty is fresh. It reopened Oct 29 after a late-September track closure, one of the easiest feel-good wins of the day, especially for families who skipped steam trains all fall.
Worth a stop: Expect shuttle-mode operation, not a full loop, while Piston Peak National Park and Villains Land construction continues. Per WDWNT, the Walt Disney World website lists the Main Street, U.S.A. and Fantasyland stations as closed, so treat the ride as a treat, not a transit shortcut to Fantasyland.
Watch out: Holiday party menus are here but the treats are not. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party runs Nov 8-Dec 22 on select nights as a separately ticketed event, so a Friday regular ticket gets you the railroad, not the Gingerbread Cheesecake Beignets.
