Goofy's call: Animal Kingdom runs a shorter day today (Thu, Oct 29), opening at 8 a.m. and closing at 6 p.m. Start early, and if you want an evening drink on Discovery Island, make Nomad Lounge part of the plan before you go.

Coming soon: Nomad Lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom now takes reservations for the first time, for dates beginning Nov 8. The bar sits next to Tiffins and serves globally inspired small plates with cocktails, beer, wine, and coffee.

Watch out: Walk-up seating and a waitlist remain available, but with reservations now live, expect walk-up availability to be tighter than the walk-in norm of the past decade.
