Race Weekend Is Coming — Wednesday's Your Calm Day

Well, whaddya know, folks — Wednesday, October 21 is the last calm day before the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend takes over Walt Disney World, October 23–25. If you're driving to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios this weekend, add 30–45 minutes: Saturday's 10K closes eight roadways around EPCOT from 3 AM (most reopen by 7:30), and Sunday's Half Marathon shuts 16 roads and ramps, including stretches of World Drive, with the last one lifting at 10:30 AM. Ol' Goofy's trick? The Skyliner needs no roads at all. Two heads-ups: the Polynesian's front-entrance roadway construction now runs through early 2027, so allow extra time there, and Tiana's Bayou Adventure just locked in December 18 as its reopening date after its November 2 refurbishment.
